Christmas gifts

What Quick and easy Christmas gifts are you making? I NEED ideas.

I am giving a lot of dishcloths. If I can tolerate hours of mindless knitting on dark colors I have several tote bags that could be finished and felted. I've considered a felted ipod carrier for my niece but suspect it would not be cool enough (she's 14). Although I would crochet it some of the animaguri items are awfully cute for kids.

I guess it's time for Christmas knitting as it takes me awhile to knit the things. I have 7 grandchildren i make them all something. Better get started. THinking of slippers as most of them are teenagers now. Bumbi

Knit, crochet, sew or whatever teenagers are difficult to make something for. I've considered a fisherman's or watch cap or whatever for Nate but he wouldn't appreciate that better quality yarn and my time in making it so the ones he buys are just fine. He does have an ipod caddy that he decidedd was his when I was making it for someone else (knowing I'd make another). Pajama pants work well for his taste.

I've done the dishcloths and slippers, socks and the most well received was the scarf. You can be creative, limited only by your imagination. I added fancy thin yarn with the regular yarn and that gives a nice look. Teens liked the scarves that have pockets on each end of the scarf, for their hands. the hardest thing about the scarves, was finding out the colors of their coats, so they'd match!

Happy Knitting,
