lol

man this has to be the slowest, lowest, least posting place on the web...
lol as if i am not guilty as charged...heheh
anyway left WOW several months ago in disgust. after myself and all my guild working for months to gather the materials and finally getting my mechano-hogg to jump off TB cliffs etc...found that the patch a few days before had nerfed the fall protection and turned my chopper into an ordinary "vehicle". i was crushed.
haven't played WOW since...
Found a game that has (for the most part) a more mature player base and i think a more customer orientated management. My wife and i are playing Lord of the Rings Online and have not had any bad experiences in several months. We play on the Brandywine server and would be glad to see any fellow eonions ingame! I am usually playing "Brozu" and my wife usually plays "Jozu".
Anyway hope to see ya in LOTRO!

Never heard of anyone leaving WoW because of a nerf to fall protection for choppers. But I guess it can happen. Have fun with Lord of the Rings.

Hey daniel5five! A couple of my friends tried out LOTRO and reported that I should tell you....."hope LOTR is paying him well!" Also they mentioned the same as dracon (previous response) that nobody would really leave World of Warcraft because of a chopper turning into an ordinary vehicle.
They also said that they found LOTRO to be greatly lacking in graphics and speed. Personally, I haven't tried it and after what they said, I probably won't.
I'm a big fan of LOTR, and disappointed their news isn't better.

I left World of Warcraft after playing for over 3 years. I just got sick of it personally. I now play LOTRO and love it. It's true, I believe there are more mature people playing this game. I've been playing since July and have not had a bad experience. I think the graphics are great and it is a visually beautiful game. The crafting in the game is so much better than WOW. I have 6 toons on the Gladden server.

I just got back to playing WoW after taking a 4 month break--longest I've ever been off since 2005! It's amazing how different the group system is now that they have cross-realm instance signups! It was getting really hard to find groups last summer, now it's instant lol... I normally play a NE priest and really love that role--but I have lots of lower alts too, scattered around. The one I'm currently on is maxed tailor and enchanter, but I have another that's maxed mining and JCing. I can't say I've ever really had a bad experience on the game--sometimes it gets childish and there can be rude ppl on but I just love it and always have. I will probably move on one day to another game--I've heard good things about Aion, have any of you played it? Right now all the time I have is devoted to raiding and I'm hoping to get into ICC soon with my guild.

Wellll... since my last post on this SLOW thread 5 months ago, I have actually bailed on Wow and gone over to LOTRO! A friend and I decided to start a new game we had never played and decided against Aion. LOTRO is really fun! I love the graphics, they are really gorgeous... very little lag, lots of different, quirky little things like being able to play music, the character naming, owning and furnishing your own houses, some of the festival activities... I'm finding it to be a great game. True, questing can be a bit repetitive, just like WoW :) and some things are a little awkward and hard to figure out at first... but the spell and ability animations are fun and different. Our toons are still lowbies, no more than lvl 40. There are a lot of things we haven't even tried yet. We're taking it very slow and just enjoying the world, no aggressive leveling. But after leveling so many toons in Wow and raiding stresses day in and day out, this is some nice low-key fun. I'm a little nervous about how this free to play is going to affect the game--hope it doesn't wreck things! But I was pleasantly surprised at how enjoyable it is and highly recommend the game. I'll probably go back to WoW at some point, I always do--if only to check out new content--but for now I'm content. Check it out!
