Hi, new to the group.

My hubby and I joined WW the beginning of July. He has lost 22 lbs and I have lost 16. He is almost to his 10%. I am 4 lbs away from my 10%. So far, it has been pretty painless. We are not usually hungry and have managed to do the Program even on our summer vacations. The cost has been as issue since we do the monthly plan and that is $39 each. We go to the meetings weekly. Plus the added cost of produce has really increased our food budget. I no longer work so the cost is a factor but all in all, it has been worth it.
I must admit, we are not very creative in our recipes. We eat a lot of Smart Ones and salads. I am hoping to get some more info in here. I also have WW online but I don't use it much.
Glad to see Eons has this group.

WELCOME & CONGRATULATIONS KULPN: Best of blessings on your weight loss journey.

Trust me when I tell you, WW online has been a great tool for me. It took me a while to get used to it and in fact I preferred using the log book to the online tracking for a few months but I figured why pay for the log books when online tracking is included in that $39 fee. Now I look forward to tracking online because it's easier to track points, especially your favorites, there's recipes, suggestions and other people's stories right there.

I had to give up the Smart Ones because they are expensive (even on sale) comparable to how much you'd get if you made meals from "scratch" (and froze them yourself) plus they contain too much sodium. Since you are on a budget, how about incorporating legumes into your diet daily and shopping at a farmer's market to get better deals on produce.

Hi, congrats on your journey so far! You're doing great!
I use the etools, and there are so many easy recipes there, plus you can put in some of your own favorites and then figure ways to reduce the points by modifying a few ingredients, so you can eat what you like. i agree with Diva, the Smart Ones are ok for occasional quick meals, but the sodium content keeps me from buying them often. We make a lot of soups, and use a lot of beans in place of meat and find we stay full longer and get the benefit of these "filling foods". This summer has been great because we have a Farmer's Market in town two days a week and fresh produce is just the best! Good luck continuing this journey and let us know how you are doing. We're all in this together!

I only went to 3 meetings and my daughter and her husband none.

What are the foods you miss the most and crave? That's where I started. How could I come up with something similar that would ease that craving.

I like my 1 point diet cakes and diet root beer floats with sugar free, fat free ice cream.

We came up with all kinds of things on our own. I don't think I've used a single one of WW recipes.

My husband hit his 10% tonite. I am down 2 lbs so 4 away from my 10%. Yes, I need to take advantage more of the online tools.
