Being in control

When on WW or any program success depends largely on getting to that feeling of being in control. Its been my observation that when you can get that feeling for any part of your life you can use it to spread to the other areas.

I was stalled on my WW program, but yoga classes became a focus point for me. I used that focus to spill back over into WW'rs and it has really worked. Of course I've seen the opposite be true as well. The out of control feeling in one area (relationships, family, finance, etc) can wreck havoc with your WW program.

If that starts to happen find something to focus on, preferably some healthy habit and use it.

It's true!! I also have noticed that. once you learn YOU do have a self disipline, other things in you live fall in line more smoothly and less effort too.

Even my house. I have gotten rid of so much crap and things people can't believe I let go. You can only use so much stuff and the rest is just busying up your mind by the sight of it.

I like that idea. You ever have that happen where you feel something is wrong but you can't pinpoint it, well I think clutter is one of those. I guess if I haven't used it in a couple of years I should donate it to Goodwill and give it a proper home. It all helps keep focus on the important things.

I think you're all so right. Accountability is the key thing with the eating, and emotions can really knock us off the path... I walk, and just walk faster and longer when I have something on my mind to wrestle with. Wish I could muster more of a war on clutter, but I'm gradually getting better despite that sorry feeling I have about wasting something that's still good, but that I don't need anymore... Guess that's my mother "talking". Thanks heavens for Goodwill - at least I know the stuff's going somewhere that helps someone. btw - this is my first posting on EONS, and I was really happy to find you all. Nothing rings true like the words of those who've been there, done it, and know the ropes. Thanks!
