I tryed to avoid Twitter, but a business I frequent started posting coupons for those who visit it's site. So I have a skeletal profile there. But it's pretty much a waste of time for me, otherwise.

Eons is enough.

It all depends on what circle one is trying to identify with. For seeking old friends and keeping up with new ones. I chose Facebook, for a mature social networking site, I chose Eons, for travel, I chose travbuddy, for family I am on Geni.com. That's enough for one person!

My concern is that this proliferation is having a negative affect on people going out and having a face to face. You can spend hours online but I would trade it all to have a real face to face conversation. I don't see where these groups facilitate that activity. Your thoughts?

EONS is the only social network I belong to. I find it to have a positive impact on my well being and mind set. I do spend hours online but I am better informed. I realize we all have opinions to share, words to write, love and hope to give for everyone. I manage to meet new people face to face and see family and friends. There is much to say about socializing, good and bad.
