Just be assured that he is here...........right here, just on a different plane of existince..........perhaps he wants you to concentrate on YOUR job at hand.............but when he's needed the most..........he will appear..........and he's watching over you always...........
I think / feel that if you are relaxed and open to his visits, he will come when he knows you need him most. He has before. I am not sure, but think some spirits/ souls just don't . Not sure why. Maybe your mom leaves it up to your dad to convey their love and let you know they are with you always and watching . Your spirit is drawn back , remembering times of comfort, giving you comfort and peace. Be blessed and relax and see where your mind takes your body. MBW
Before my Dad passed we had lots of conversations about his getting through to me. Because he always wore a hat with a red feather in it, I asked that he send me feathers when I was on the right track or to let me know he was there. He certainly has done that! I am amazed that I find them at the oddest times in the weirdest places!
I don't think it's too late for you to ask your Dad to send you some sign like that. He hears you better than you hear him!

The vision means he is pationity waiting ( he being at easy in the gazebo)til t. he time you two will be reunited but him reading the newspaper means he still keeps up with the news about you. He is there but waiting, not contacting you. Maybe he thinks it will start you crying again if you saw him.
Now along the same line, your Mom is too emotional and is still missing you so much, she can't come around yet, too painful for her.
Thanks for all the replys...you know...it's so hard even with them being gone 25 years. It was real hard of course at first, then it eased up, but now I just miss them more than ever.
Sometimes when they stop or don't contact you it means that they reincarnated. Their energies are in a new life now. Maybe that is what happened with your mom.
Your dad wants you to stop mourning him. Hes happy where he is, but misses you, and wants you to be happy too. When he was reaching out for you that time you were sick, you actually had a near death experience and he was there to help you cross over, but you decided at that time, to stay and take care of your kids. We all leave ourselves a few outs in life. And when we are ready, we take it.

My experience has been that they stop "visiting" after the first year or so. I had visits from my father, and my late husband. My aunt once came by, while I was with my daughter.
But, my mother never did show up. I think she was too eager to be on to the next adventure, she was always like that.
Interesting thought on the reincarnation. I wonder, if a loved one does get reincarnated....do we ever meet them in our present life?
Now I'm going to tell you all something..laugh if you want. My mom died Sept 24th 1984. September 24, 1991 my most wonderful dog was born. That dog had my heart, soul, everything. So that was 7 years after mom died. I heard somewhere that 7 years means something but I can't remember what. Any possibility my mom was reincarnated in my dog? Or maybe it was just the fact Holly was born the 7 years after the day my mom died that I had such strong feelings for her.
