Update: Apple Cider Vinegar

Good News: I started taking 1 gram twice a day of Apple Cider Vinegar pills ($10 at the health food store) on August 18. One week later I helped my neighbor up the stairs with her groceries (6 x one flight of stairs). This would have been unheard of a month ago.

I am sleeping well -- a miracle in itself. Best -- I have been doing my swimming/water exercise EVERY DAY for the past week!

I also recently increased my Vitamin D to 1,200 IU/day. This may also have something to do with my increase in well-being.

I bought the vinegar pills, but haven't taken them, it said one of the side effects was it pulls the pottasuim from your body. I am one of the rare people with Chronic kidney disease that doesn't ge too much pottasuim, in fact I have to be sure to eat at least a banana a day, (which for most is a no-no) I had a stroke/ heart attack last t-day and they said it was because my pot. was too low.
I take 1800 vit. d, just upped it a few weeks ago, so will see if there is any result.
Thanks for the info.

I take 99 mg Potassium every day to prevent leg cramps. Also eat about half a banana most days. I find that there's absolutely no way I could get all the vitamins/minerals I would need from food, so supplements have saved me, big time!

Thank you so much for posting this information StillAY. It bought back memories my mom use to drink a glass of apple cider vinegar a day. I'm not sure how many times though but, i know she was religious about drinking it. Your exercise program is the same as mine except i have to find a inside pool during the winter months. I plan to go out tomorrow morning a grab a bottle of apple cider pills. Thanks!

See, here's the problem -- how much of these supplements are we supposed to take a day to help with arthritis??

My Vit. D bottle says 400 IU = 100% of "recommended" intake, presume for some normal bloke. So how much more can we safely take? Think I'm going to increase what I take...

Yes ! Life Extension Magazine says you can take 35 IU of vit D per pound of body weight. Just multiply your weight by 35 and that would be th maximum you could take.
If you get out in the sushine then you dont need that much. There is no better vitamin D than that from sunshine but dont get sunburned of course
It will be a long time before I'lll take the upper limit. I like to get out in the sun esp when it gets warm. Even in the colest winter I will wait until 90 yrs old to take 6000 IU.

Warm water, apple cider vinegar, and a teaspoon of Royal Bee Honey, daily does help. Don't need pills.
With pain from arthritis, but specially hip pain, ( needed replacement ), I discovered " Frankie Avalon" roll on topical pain remover. It did work !
