DOWNSIZED

Hi Travelers,

My husband and I had a huge diesel pusher that we loved and enjoyed for several years, then he was struck down by cancer in '08. We had camped throughout our marriage from tent to Travel Trailer and on. The MH sat in the yard until I sold it four months ago. It held wonderful memories but also brought back the loss of my husband.
Last Month, I bought a FourWinds mini Class B+. I missed the RV life style so much! I took my first trip to a local State Park last week. It was nice to get out hike and enjoy the scenery. But, as you can imagine, lonely.
Are there others in the SE that would like to travel and see some upcoming fall colors? I don't know of any RV groups in the Middle, GA area.
I like my MiniMO. LOL

Hello,
It has been a while since we chatted. I am on my way to Sannibel/Fort Myers with my travel trailer for a few days. When do you plan to go "Leaf Peeping"?

Hi MdGaAnne,

Wish I was in the SE. My story is very similar. However, I'm in the NE. Maybe we could meet up someday.

All things are possible as I'm going to retire and travel further some day. If nothing else you meet nice people there and at the nation parks. Just getting out there is good

I have a little Class B MH too. I want to go to Thermopolis, Wyoming in it and just lay around in the warm mineral waters. I've been outdoors in those mineral baths when it was 5 below. Only concern was that my hair would freeze and break off LOL. Have you had any trouble with parks accepting your Class B?

Hi,
I recently spent a week camping with a LOW's (Loners on Wheels)group in Georgia. The rally was great. The people were friendly and very well organized. Each morning we would meet for coffee and plan activities for the day. There were cookouts and pot luck dinners to enjoy. LOW's is a nationwide club with chapters in many states. It is a great way to meet new people.
I have not had any problems with parks accepting my Fourwinds Chateau class B+. The only problem I am having at this time is sorting through info on the web to decide which braking system I should buy to tow my Jeep Cherokee.
Happy Travels
