Fall Goals

Hi everybody Let's kick some life into this group! So, now that Summer is about over and Fall is upon us, what are your goals??? Post here and let's see how many responses we can get.

I have a seminar coming up on the 19th and 20th of September. Of course, I procrastinated, but I have been on a healthy food plan for 2 weeks and have lost 7 pounds. I have started exercising a little more and while I watch TV I exercise my arms with weights.
Then in November, I am going to see my sister and her daughters. My goal is to be skinnier than my sister! LOL
I clean a 14,000 square foot building and you would think that would be enough, apparently not! I have cleaned it for 10 years, so my body is used to it, I guess.

One of my goals is to be able to ride my bike comfortably. My sense of balance is way off, because of my weight gain in the past. So I have Fall and Winter and early Spring to look forward to.

I want to start exercising. My goal for the short term is to walk 30 minutes each day. I also want to eat balanced, healthy meals. I'd like to lose 10 pounds before January 1.

I need to lose a whole lot more, but I want it to stay off, so i want to lose it in an intelligent way.

Boy, do I relate to that goal of "being skinnier than my sister", ha ha.

I will be walking as well but need to start slow as I have osteoarthritis that is quite painful right now. The Dr. had me cut back anti-inflammatory drugs b/c something is up with my liver. Also, an echo cardiogram revealed some bad news on my heart.

So...I am eating oatmeal daily, increasing whole grains (see my post to Slim Pickins of a great Whole Grain recipe site) and berries, stretching and doing my PT exercises. I am slowly losing weight by eating controlled portions for lunch (frozen lunches like Lean Cuisine or WW). My goal is to get healthy again so I will follow the Dr.'s orders. I always told my husband I'd live to 100.

I just gotta be "skinnier than my sister" by November 2nd because that's when I visit her in Florida. I already LIED and told her I lost 20 lbs since she'd seem me last. So now I HAVE TO DO IT. I've really only lost 15, so I've got another 5 to lose and 10 would be even better. ha ha ha - what a motivator!!! I just know I can do it!!!
