I cry every time I see these names. If you go to DC, there are pictures (at the women's memorial in Arlington) of quite a few of those who have fallen in Iraq and Afghanistan. It's like the Vietnam Memorial. Very heartbreaking.
Lance Cpl. Donald J. Hogan, 20, of San Clemente, Calif., died Aug. 26 while supporting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif.
From what I understand, LCPL Hogan saved several members of his team from an IED but lost his life in the process.
