We found some of the results very interesting when we started to look at them by gender. For example, more men than women took the survey. And, when asked, "How often do you have sex?" a third of the women respondents said rarely or never and 45% of the men said once a week or more. We asked, "How important were these characteristics when you were dating the first time around" and also "How important are these characteristics in the type of person you're looking to date or are dating now?" with the choices being:
* Intelligence
* Sense of humor
* Considerate
* Money
* Manners
* Good looking
* Willing to have sex
* Fun to be with
* Honest
* Knowledgeable
* Other

Respondents could select as many of the responses as they wanted to. Turns out, in both cases, there were only two criteria that women rated more highly than men: Looks and Willingness to have sex! And...men (51.6%) rated money more highly than women (47%) did! Huh? Men are money grubbers and women are only interested in looks and sex??? Who knew! Do these statistics surprise you???

Surprised me, because my personal experiance women are quick to judge me on my income without even taking the time or chance to find out about the real me, then the same women turn around and complain about guys wanting sex... hmmmm

I'm not too surprised, because I'm thinking that the people who took the survey are those willing to be honest. Most people looking for love after a certain age have been through it once, already. Many women, having left a long time relationship with a man who is no longer physically (or even verbally) affectionate, are craving that human touch after it ends. And after a divorce, many men are probably not willing to take on a woman who wants to live on his income alone, having been through the financial wringer already, so a woman who can support herself and possibly both of them is more attractive as a partner. Be careful out there, ladies ...

Well, seems like things weren't what we expected when we asked about the 1st time around either, though. Take a look at this:

Once again, for men, it's money; for women, it's sex and good looks... But, whoa, where did that "handy" characteristics sneak in??? Men want handy women? And, no, the survey tool is not broken -- these data are the real deal.

I really wonder about the veracity of the answers to the question involving number of sex partners -- On balance the survey seems particularly well done, very reasonable, and not shocking in most respects --
