Shore Diner is not in Rio Grande. The only Shore Diner I know of is in Pleasantville. Rio Grande has the Rio Grande Diner and the Four Seasons Diner.

And what about the Start Diner in North Wildwood? That one is always packed to the gills in the summer.

Hi...You guys don't like the Point diner, in Somers Point? It's one of the places I ALWAYS try to go to when I am home, in Jersey.

*The Fountain Blue Diner in South Plainfield, NJ is great.
*Peter Pank Diner in Sayreville is another one.

There are several in Central NJ's Middlesex County that are very good. Can't think of all their names.

**Just wanted to add my 2 cents worth......LOL

ckat, thanks for posting this interesting list. New Jersey is pretty much famous for its diners and why not? We have some really good ones. I have been a few of those you listed but not in one a very long time.

I went to the Harris diner in East Orange about 25 years ago, I looked it up to see if they looked the same. Depending on how old this photo is, I guess it does.

Harris Dinner

I know that Jimmy Buff's is not a diner, but I remember getting the best hot dogs with chili there. It was somewhere near Branch Book park. Again, a very long time ago, but a good memory. Just down the street was a place where they made their lemon ice. OMG, it was the best.
