Back when this country was forming, Edmund Burke stated , "Evil will triumph when good men stand by and do nothing." In our present day, it is no longer the case of , "doing nothing" to stop evil, it is more like our politicians and the media are actually helping the evil triumph by denying it exists.( How many news medias even mentioned the terorist's acts of burning the children and giving them to their parents to eat?)They are actively working to destroy their own country and those who are actually fighting the evil. They are selfish, ambitious cowards who are self decieved by their own hatred. The saddest part of this is that so many people will not think for themselves, but prefer to believe these traitors. In WW11, people refused to believe that a civilized nation , like Germany would be committing the brutal slaughter of the Jewish people. Today,there are still so many like those fools who will not allow themselves to even think that such evil exists. It gets in the way of their delusions of an lovely, reasonable world, where we can all hold hands and live in peace. The evil today is largely not perpetrated by a civilized nation but by a barbaric , hatefilled ,religiously deluded enemy who laugh at us because we don't have the courage to even believe that they want to kill us. I agree, cristin, that we need heros today, and we have many in uniform who are sacrificing themselves for what they believe in. Our politicians betray and disgrace them.

Yes, we do have hero's overseas doing the job that needs to be done, and I'm proud of everyone of them. I come from a family of ancestors who fought since the Civil War for this country, but I'm hoping that when the going gets tough over here, there are hero's who will stand guard and protect the United States. All I see are people who think that noone is that evil, and noone could do those horrifying things that they do, but you read, see and quite honestly have written words from those overseas, who have said they are deadly people, whose minds are warped.
Ameba, I hope to God above that nothing happens here, for I'm humbled at what little I have, and family who I love dearly and pray each day for strength if it does to protect them in any way possible, for I definitely know that the government will have nothing to do with our safety. And I would hate to think of what I would do, if something happened to those I love. The anger would be heightened and crying would come later. My ggrandparents had to deal with Hitler and I'm not going to let what happened to them happen to me here with people who have no respect for my life or anyone's life. And if these Liberals in Congress can't see what is happening then they need eye glasses or a better education, because they are ignorant.
