quiteone~I've sent a prayer up for JJ~asking God to whisper in his ear. Maybe you can give him a whisper too that he use the assistance the VA has to offer our returning service men and women. Sending a hug~please pass it on~tell him I thank him for doing all he's done~and now it's time for new beginnings~Island

quiteone,
JJ will be in my prayers and I'll add a few for you also- since I know we Moms never stop worrying over our children ! God can provide strength and direction and I know He answers our prayers- in the meantime, know that prayers are going to His throne and take comfort in that ... Peace for your journey, grammy55

He will be in my prayers. Change is always difficult, more so when its changing to a new way of life. Those adjustments can demand a huge toll on us. With God's help I am confident he will find the strength and courage to adjust.

I met a young man in a prayer group last April. He was Army. He was so wanting to get back with his "brothers" in Iraq, yet not wanting to leave his wife and two young daughters.
He had trouble expressing himself at first, then started opening up. These young men and women are being torn apart when they see their own being killed, and I think feel guilty if they are okay. There is such a spiritual battle going on in the heavens and we are seeing it played out down here. Every day I pray that not one would be killed in vain and die and go to hell.

This young man asked us to pray for the muslims, that they would turn to Christ. He said that he was afraid to ask some people to do that, but he knew that was the only answer.

We sit here, at our computers, in nice houses, staying cool, plenty to eat and oh, how they are sacrificing.

I pray for JJ that the Lord Jesus Christ will minister to him, for He is the only One who knows what he is going through.

God Bless America and God Bless and Protect our Troops.

I will certainly do that for your and your son. Thanks him for all of us for serving his country and I am sure the adjustment is a big one coming back. Like night and day.
I hope in time he does better for both your sake. In the meantime lots of prayers sent for you, him and the family

quiteone,
You can certainly count on my prayers for JJ. I've been in the military and getting out can be very hard to adjust to. It's interesting how they take the time to get a recruit ready for life in the service with basic training, etc. Yet very little is done to get a veteran ready for civilian life. They see things most of us don't see. They have a hard time talking about what they've been through except with other service people.
JJ has a challenging time ahead of him. He will need lots of support, patience, and understanding.
Ultimately it is up to him to find a way.
I am praying for JJ to find the path back to non-military life. You can do it JJ.

You can be assured that i too will offer a prayer for your dear son JJ.

As JT said--it is sad that after all the trauma they have witnessed they are thrown back into civilian life with no prperation. There are so many of our returning troops that are going through similar problems now and I pray for them all.

Hello quiet one. I know what you are going through. My son, also is going through alot after returning from Iraq. He has been out a year, and still falls asleep around 5 am. He has seen and been through more than we can imagine. He is a Marine and is trying to re adjust. I pray that he will receive the help that the VA has offered. I thought my worries were over when he returned, but I am still very concerned with his life. He saw his buddies die in battle. He has had lots of problems. I love him and can only say so much before he pushes me away. I will be praying for your son and for you. We know what war is like as moms. Its horrible and we still suffer. May angels wrap their arms around you and your son. Take care and know that my prayers are being said for you and your boy. A Marine Mom in Alabama.
