I want to ask everyone to watch over our prayer requests. We are now receiving requests not only from our members who need our prayers but those who are asking for healing and strength outside this group. Your prayers give hope and encouragement and through Jesus Christ they are being answered! Praise Jesus for his blessing and for his goodness!
This is the song, when I heard this the first time, I was like 15 years old, when I heard it, I also heard my calling to serve the Lord . My mom always told me that I was born to be a minister, I know she's smiling down on me right now, I can feel it, and she is in the Lord's embrace, this is heavy, I fought it, and lived a rebellious life for most of my life, then one day, after a hard day's night of doing a whole lot of Cocaine, I woke up, and I felt something or someone tugging on my heart, I got up, walked outside, fell to my knees, and said, God, I know that you are real, and I know that You have something more for my life, than the way I am living, tell me what to do, I'm all ears. And I heard an audible voice, He told me to leave, I said, God? He said LEAVE NOW ! I left, my wife and 4 kids, I had to go get it together. Six month's later, I got a call from my wife, she said, come and get these kids, and I did, I raised my 4 children, she was still doing drugs, I was serving the Lord. The kids couldn't believe the change in their dad, praise the Lord, the kids all got saved, and eventually their mom did too, but it didn't last, she couldn't give it up. Long story short, I quit my rebellious ways, I started serving the Lord, my mom never did come and see me in church, but that's cool. I got to do the eulogy at her funeral, she did get to see me preach, I can't tell you how much I have been blessed since coming to the Lord, like I tell everyone, the only regret I have ever had, was that it didn't happen sooner, but it all happens in His time. I saw Neil Diamond in Sturgis,S.D. when I was there in '93 with the Sons of Thunder motorcycle ministry, I always wanted to go to Sturgis, and I always wanted to be in a rock band, praise God, He gave me my heart's desire, our band played in Sturgis, actually Rapid City, but just the same, God is so good ! And oh yeah, who would've guessed it, Neil and his friends were all riding Harley's, he said they were taking a month off, a little R&R he called it !
