Yep, that's it. Use to have a really nice dress shop, a nice variety store, a 5 & dime.....once was a booming town. They had their 4th of July stuff going on yesterday and today with parade and fireworks. I was invited back down but am exhaused and plan to nap today.

Know what you mean. My little town had 3 grocery stores, 2 auto dealers, Dr., dentist, drugstore, two restraunts, a shoe store, a small variety store, 2 hardware stores, a lumberyard and feed mill, several barbers, several bars. Now one little grocery, a resturant, a gas station and a dentist. Don't think it's an improvement. My age all left and went to the city, even larger city businesses fell to the malls. I don't think that was good either. Luckly a lot of people are figuring that out and trying to revive downtown areas.

That looks like an old town from a western movie. The hitching posts are missing.
Knightstown has a public square and when I was a kid they even had hitching posts. They are gone now but the public square is still there. I don't recall ever seeing a horse tied up there though.
Hagerstown has a place for the Amish people to tie up there horses near the hardware store and I have seen horses tied there this year.
