4 Jul 1826 Jefferson/Adams died

A little known fact. (I knew it because I'm related to John Adams) On 4 Jul 1826 both Jefferson and John Adams died. They did not like each other according to policical reports but they respected each other. Many letters sent back and forth between the two over a lifetime. Just my 4th of July input. Jay

I knew Jefferson died on the 4th. And I knew there was another president that also died on the 4th. But I didn't realize it was Adams, or that they died the same year.

Yeah I knew it because I'm related thru John Quincy and love the Adams family history. Jefferson and Adams saw the begining of America from different sides. Would love to read the letters they sent back and forth. Probaby a book about it, Hope you have a great 4th Rifle. Most of Hampton Roads cleared out or celebrating at home.
