One percent of the people own 99 percent of the wealth which leaves little room for anyone else to find success. But, we will. Against all odds, jobs for everyone will be found. There will be healthcare for everyone. This book will be published. Ah, fantasy!
Just think what would happen if everyone in America volunteered one hour per week to help others.
Just think if volunteers were paid well for volunteering? We would be heading back to America of yore.
But, were those days better than today? Then, blacks and women had no rights. Back then, workers struggled to please the boss or else they were tossed out in the street. Like today.
Back before we had computers, dvds and bluerays, we had muscle, brains and 45's. Those were singles, my dear.
America is a caring country. Say that twice! It is the greatest country in the world. America created the Peace Corps.
God bless America and you, too! Follow your dreams and as the late John Lennon said:"Give peace a chace."

And as I say:"Peace?...What the hell is Peace?". Well, I hope that we find out what that is real soon!

Volunteers are "volunteers" because they don't get paid....aren't they? And volunteering is a gift to others who need it, like serving in the Peace Corps. Hopefully, things will get better for you, too, Ron. You will publish your book and we will all tell the world that we knew you before you were famous!

I volunteered for the Navy and they paid me. I know some guys that quit almost forty years ago and are still getting paid. Like my Dad. It depends on how you choose to volunteer to serve your country Ron, I guess. Guns and butter, well, we got lots of guns but not enough butter anymore. I like butter, butter on everything! I will pay you in the coin of good will, my friend.

Well, this is the end of my story. Volunteers do or do not get paid in this world. In an ideal world, volunteers would not only get paid , they would get paid well. Then, all kinds of people with all kinds of talents would volunteer. I was a Peace Corps Volunteer and I got paid. Not much, but, I was paid.
But, let's not sweat the small stuff. Life is too short.
