Being an independent sort in many ways, I fully appreciate a day dedicated to such. Somewhere back east there's traces of blood in turf I've never seen - shed by fighters that couldn't have DREAMED I'd be writing about them, lovingly, appreciatively, some two centuries plus into the future.
