I apologize

to those who like Michael Jackson, but I am soooo sick and tired of all this coverage and crap and who gets kids and who doesn't....talk of his billions of dollars of wealth, the costs to have the Staples Arena idol worship, and swallow hard knowing THOUSANDS of young kids will go hungry today, like yesterday and again tomorrow...makes me want to vomit....America's values have certainly gone down the crapper

I don't remember hearing about jackson ever doing any good anywhere. He was just a self centered, child molesting, psycho ..... the world is better off without him.

Well whether or not you believe MJ is or was deserving of compassion is each individuals choice. As far as not wanting the 24 hour news cycle dominated by his memorial, I think that has more to do with the media. So blaming a dead man for the media sensationalism is just plan not very smart. There are millions world wide who disagree about MJ and the media hype. As far as the name calling and personal attacks on MJ. Well lets just say I don't think anyone who cares is really listening. If we delved into the personal lives of the Ed McMahon's, Farrah Faucetts, Willie Mays, we might find that they may not be as pure as the driven snow either.

I for one will not allow my humanity to be defined by how another human being choose to live his/her life. I prefer my humanity to be defined by my compassion for them and their loved ones after they cease to be. Micheal does not live rent free in my brain. Nor does he or the media control what I choose to watch. Which is why I have TV, Radio, Computer, Cell phone, CD Player, DVD VHS player, or just my front porch. I have many choices of entertainment, and slave to none.

I feel sorry for Michael-even before he died. He had alot of mental problems-probably due to his dad. With all that money-who can you trust?
People leached off him most of his life.
Money can't buy happiness!

But the media is running this into the ground.

I got tired of the coverage a while back. But, as Charles said, you don't need to watch the stuff, or read about it. So I'm content to pretty much ignore it.

Its a sad reflection on our society when someone who doesn''t know his nose from a hole in the ground takes up so much of our generations and even more of the younger generations time money and energy.

MJ may or may not have been the product of an abusive parent but there is a point in all our lives (we are all victims of circumstance, after all)when we must take responsibility for who and what we are. MJ was a freak and a probable child molester. And this is who is being honored around the world. My oh my.
