yeah utah....The media has a lot to answer for. Not only in the entertainment industry but also in the making of bongs to attack foreign countries. That sentence makes as much sense as the media does.
MJ has been the lead in nightly newscasts for over a week. The publicity his death has gotten has gone way past absurd. Even Sarah Palin couldn't knock him out of the top spot. I also admit I just don't get people "grieving" hard over someone they didn't know. Do they not have a life of their own? I have to say death did for MJ what any "comeback tour" couldn't have.
A very talented guy-but he had no childhood-a narcissist for a father-and a very tragic life. Goes to show-that money can't make you happy!
But I have had enough of it too-let's move on.
is it the media or our values....I am so sick of it all...I don't watch the stuff ...I agree with halboy
We are not the majority opinion on this one.
The media knows what sells and right now MJ sells.
The memorial tribute will be the culmination.
Yesterday I visited Barnes-Nobles. Front page of Newsweek, special edition People, etc.
What I do not understand is the limited coverage of Farrah Fawcett, Ed McMahon, and now Carl Malden.
Yep, there is a priority-above the fold, below the fold of the front page and what's on page 3.
Business as usual.

I too am tired of it. If the Jackson's really wanted to do something good they could request canned goods, items of clothing to be donated at the gate for the memorial service.
Michael Jackson was a great talent, haunted by demons we will never know or begin to understand if we did.
That being said, I AM SO OVER IT!
Yeah... me too. I do believe his life was tragic. It's obvious. AND, his fans LOVED him! However, to be the top story when we have so much going on is a bit much.
Well at least we know the others mentioned died with dignity and were put to rest in a proper way...all this of MJ is, in my humble opinion, being handled like some clown died at the Ringling Bros, Barnum and Bailey circus.....
much like his life...don't you think?
