I just finished this book and was very moved by it--moved to tears in some places.

It is not entertaining. It is gut wrenching.

It is a book about two sides of the same coin, love and hate. It is a book about sex and illicit love and spirituality and superstition and choices and alliances. A short book, and a quick read, but I guarantee, if you ever loved like crazy, you will love the book.

PS--It is not a romance or romantic novel at all. Read it.

If this is Graham Greene, I have probably read this books as I was a fan of his years ago. I believe he has passed on now, like many good writers. Think I will have to go to Amazon and look up this book and see if it rings a bell.
