oh gosh thanks y'all for all the great comments!! We had an enjoyable afternoon walking around there. So much to see, can't get it all done in one day! And what I like is that even though it's named Chicago, its not even in Chicago!! I am not much of a city gal when it comes to Chicago! LOL
As it turned out, Beachbelle had been there before, but it was my first time!! And I plan to go back again to see everything I missed and take more pics. I didn't get enough pics taken since I forgot to charge my battery the night before and it died on me while I was there.
I had such a lovely day with Red! Your pics came out very nice, too. I won't be able to post mine until I get back home. I was so happy that she suggested going to the Botanic Garden, and the weather was great! She was so sweet to come and pick me up and drive up there.

So far I have walked Michigan Ave, gone to the Museum of Natural History (impressive!), gone to the Taste of Chicago (YUM!) and eaten at some great restaurants. Today is gray and drizzly so I am just doing laundry, but we *might* brave the crowds for some fireworks at Navy Pier tonight. Plan a river cruise tomorrow and maybe a bus tour of downtown on Monday.

I have a stopover in Chicago on Wed. Too bad it is not long enough to meet. Only 45 minutes if everything is running on time.
I love gardening, so anytime you want to go back I'd love to go with you.

Flying, you have my number, and anytime you are in Chicago, I will try to get a day off so we could go back the the gardens. If its a weekend, no problem! Heck just let me know when you are in town and we could at least get together for dinner.
