Listen to Palin's rambling announcement of her retirement at the press conference. She can't even sound intelligent doing this ... and this is HER announcement. The announcement took everyone by surprise including Alaska's Lt. Governor! She's so unprepared for this press conference that you've got to wonder if there's something else coming down the pike.
She's resigning 2 years before the end of her term. Claims she can be more effective "outside the government."
I'm embarrassed for her.

So Quippan, I am embarrassed for you, but I respect you right to post. Sarah Palin is being trashed because a lot of democrats and their fellow travelers recognize that she has a lot of appeal to the American people - that scares them and their Messiah, so the talking points given to his devotees is to marginalize her in any way they can. You certainly sit on the sidelines with your popcorn while Obama trashes the constitution of the United States and instead of worrying about that real problem laugh at the way Sarah Palin talks or looks or whatever.

National information sources are any of the national newspapers (New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Los Angles Times, etc.), the weekly news magazines (Time, Newsweek, The Economist, etc.) your local library where ALL of these outlets can be found ... and online sources....BUT caution must be exercised because one must ALWAYS question sources of informatin received online. ALL the online cable sources repeat news items they get from the national newspapers. They don't "break" anything.

I stand by my original post regarding Palin becoming the "new and prettier" attack dog for the Republican base.
Speculation is all over FOX news today that Palin will be a "suitable and more preferable" spokeperson for the Republican party faithful. A voice to counter the perceived Obama/liberal/Democratic "monarchy."
Rumors are rampant that several cable outlets are considering a talk show for her. Donations to her political action committee jumped yesterday after she announced her resignation.
I repeat: Ann Coulter, move over. You're too ugly and strident. Rush Limbaugh, stifle it. You're too ugly and strident. The Republicans have a "new and prettier" gun-runner who's dumb enough that she can be manipulated much easier than Coulter and/or Limbaugh. Palin is new, fresh hamburger!
Hell, look what they did with George W. Bush. Made him a President and he's dumb as a box of hair.
And, please, andiamo1, stop making this "my personal obsession" about Palin. Nothing to do with dislike or like. I don't respect the woman because she has opportunities most of us will never have, but she relies ONLY on her sexuality to get over. 'Cause it certainly ain't brains that got her this far.
I don't respect any woman who uses ONLY her sexuality to climb to the top. All women use their sexuality, conscious or not, because she can manipulate males into doing exactly what she wants. Males are stupid that way. All real women know this.
