Two July 4 Weekend Questions

(1) How's the weather where you live or will be living this July 4 weekend?
(2) What gas prices have you seen where you live or while traveling?

I have been re-tarring a flat roof on one of my shop buildings this week and it must have been close to 100 a couple of days ago (put a lot of sweat on the deck that day). Actually, the heat really does not bother me very much and you can burn off a few calories -- Today was pleasant -- regular and diesel both $ 2.38 in SC -- Will probably rain soon and mess up my roofing projects

In Tucson it is 100, cloudy with rain in the forecast today and tomorrow, gas is around $2.56 and rising with diesel at $2.75. Lived in Santee, CA for 23 years 1981-2004, then moved to Colorado now in Tucson, Az. cheaper living...

In the Phoenix, Arizona area: Tomorrow 103 and Sunday 108. This is our monsoon season so we get moisture coming up from Mexico and it makes it humid. Seems like the air with moisture is thick...and harder to breathe. The good news is: this is about as bad as it gets, and it is short-lived.
Filled up my tank at Costco today for $2.42

At least the second report from San Diego: This has been one of the worst "May Gray/June Gloom" years I can remember lately with fog and cloud cover along the shoreline most every day. The upshot is --- I LOVE IT!! Too much sun the rest of the year!

I went to San Diego County Fair (the Del Mar Fair) today and wore shorts and a sweatshirt -- just right for the low 70's temperatures.

Gasoline is over $3.00/gallon for me (have to use Premium).

Just returned to So Cal from the Napa area.....was low 100's (drat), gas was 2.79 (semi-drat).....will do the ballgame with daughter and family with ensuing fireworks, seems like I should fold apple pie into that equation, no? And yes, life is good for this writer, wish same for all you Eonites!

I'm also in Phoenix, so I can echo Smart's comments. Gas was $2.40 at Sam's Club a few days ago when I filled up. It will be over 100 all weekend, and humid, so it's pool time for me. Happy 4th of July everyone!!

Here in Middle Tn, it's 80 now (10am) with highs expected in the low 90's. Storms likely, right around 9-10 tonight! Hope everyone gets to do their fireworks before the sky does its own! Gas prices where I live are down to $2.30-2.38, about a 20 cent drop from a week or so ago!

I live in Tucson, also and we had an awesome thunderstorm last night and more tonight. It is supposed to be 99 and it is humid because of the rain (which is needed). I saw gas yesterday for 2.42. I will sit in the frontyard tonight and watch the fireworks on A-Mt. and then turn the chairs and watch the fireworks from Hi Corbett Field. If if rains, I can run into the house.

I'm in Miami now, over 400 miles away from home, but the weather's about the same -- sunny, upper 90's, with a threat of t-storms. Saw a few distant t-storms where I stayed overnight in the Melbourne FL area.

Gas prices were 2.39 at home in GA, and varied from 2.49 (near Melbourne) to 2.79 (Broward county) along I-95 thru FL.
