Sometimes a picture speaks a thousand words. This picture speaks to my heart. I really feel moved when I see this picture. To me, it depicts a love that reveals exactly what I desire. Everyone will read something into this that may be different, but to me, I see respect and a comfortable togetherness. Peace. I see individuality in each with acceptance. I see they both look to the future.

Gosh, you guys.....I only was sharing a picture that moved me. So maybe in reality the lions are captive in a cage and eat their young and pee on themselves and live a pathetic life. Maybe they mate just to turn to leave to mate with another. Animals. No matter.

So this is the 50+ Singles group, eh? With the exception of a few, the representation appears to be sort of cynical. That's sad.

I have never had a true love...and with stars in my eyes and hope in my heart, that picture moved me. I am going to continue to be believing that kind of love can be real...the man who will be a good match for me.
Meanwhile, a girl can dream, can't she?

and I too find that picture representing a special kind of love...
but hey, don't get discouraged, and please don't
refrain from 'exposing' yourself again....
I too have posted things in the past...and didn't see the
responses close to my intent... but that's ok...
there are those who may NOT reply, but read your
post, smile and agree...you never know who
you will touch.

It is said the only thing that truly elevates us above the animal kingdom is our ability to reason. Doesn't seem we've used that facet to its best advantage. True, unconditional love should always be the ultimate goal, sorry you haven't caught that lightning in a bottle, keep striving, stay picky.

keep those stars in your eyes,they add beauty to the world !
keep your eyes open for they are not rose colored, that kind of love is attainable and reality
unfortunately some have been smacked in the heart and the hurt has tainted thier sight
they are just cynical and see the glass as half ugly not half beauty
and it is much easier to say it doesn't exist than to get up and look for it
and there are some people who truely are happier alone and they just don't get the "being in love"
those I feel sorry for ! I can't help it, I wish all a true love once in this lifetime
I wish me a true love twice in this lifetime !

Beautiful picture Smart! The serenity and strength of character comes out in these big cats. People are masters of their emotions and sometimes not for the better. Animals are always so much more defined, they ARE who and what they are. Humans are so schooled and undefined, we show the face we want everyone to see. I took it because when I looked down at the family pets...
I saw acceptance of differences...being comfortable in the midst of those differences.
that was a couple months ago...

OK, I am sorry that I am a realist. I stopped reading romantic novels a long time ago. I still believe in friendship and brotherhood, tho. Donavan said it all in his song, 'Catch the Wind'.
