Animals only live for the moment. These two will probably pair for life and want to, that's what we all search and yearn for.
I just love the big cats, this should be a poster or somelthing.
Gibbon apes, penguins, wolves, termites, coyotes, barn owls, beavers, bald eagles, golden eagles, condors, swans, brolga cranes, French angel fish, sandhill cranes, pigeons, prions (a seabird), red-tailed hawks, anglerfish, ospreys, prairie voles (a rodent), and black vultures — are a few that mate for life. I didn't think about the forever part, but yes, I do desire that connectedness forever, as well.
I'm pretty picky and my bar is high.
Reality is not romance, I wish I had that feeling for ever, but it is totally opposite in real life.
When younger I basked in the warm glow of love. As I aged I found lovable foibles increasingly noisome if not downright nauseaus. Today I think the ideal partner would be one that lived somewhere else, someone I could hook up with on weekends, share a picnic on the beach with. Living in someones' pocket is not my idea of an ideal relationship.

I will throw the ice water: These lions are in a zoo, they have no choice who they mate with. In the wild, if a younger, stronger male takes over, he will kill all the cubs of the previous male and reimpregnate the females of the pride. Then he will lay down and let them track and kill dinner.
That said, Yes it is a nice picture. I think they are wondering if the creatures pointing cameras taste good.
I think I could get used to living in a zoo.
