July 4th Weekend

Here it is and just like clockwork , after a thoroughly cold , rainy and miserable June ( we had the second highest total amount of rainfall ever here for the month of June without having more than an inch and a half in any one day . It just rained constantly ) , it is sunny and hot now and looks like it will be that way all weekend . My wife and I biked the boardwalk this morning and finished by 8:30 . The beach was already starting to fill up by the time we finished and cars were bumper to bumper coming over the bridge into town .

It was rainy and cold all this past week here in northern Michigan. We didnt get higher than 55 on some days...according to the weather man we havent seen temps this cold in over 100 years! It has been a crappy start to summer! And rain most of last week to boot....today finally we woke up to sunshine and blue skies...supposed to be in the 70s today...and today our national Cherry Festival starts along with the 4th of July celebrations.
Traverse City is packed to the gills with people!
