Good for you, MQ - enjoy! I wonder now about the "guilt" we can feel - like, who is it we're afraid might scold us?!? I used to read simple mysteries for fun, and in secret, while I was in grad school. But one day a much respected English prof mentioned that she adored the Lilian Jackson Braun 'Cat Who' series. I haven't felt a bit guilty since that day!

Moseyer, I know, whenever I feel guilty about something I read or watch, I then find myself asking who I'm trying to "impress" by not doing it, LOL.... funny, isn't it...
I guess my guilty pleasure reading would be the Sookie Stackhouse books, although I have to admit I don't feel guilty about reading them. ; - )
As far as tv goes, I consider my fascination with all of the Real Housewives series' to be a guilty pleasure. :x
LOL, Barb!! I sneak an episode or two of ET occasionally - just can't help a little lurid curiosity, and it DOES come on right after the CBS news, after all!
When I was in library school, the professors told us that only little old ladies read gothic novels. So, I immediately went out and got Daphne du Maurier and got hooked for the rest of the semester. The 13th Tale was the closest thing to a good gothic that I've read in ages.
There are all kinds of snobs out there and literary snobs are the worst. Read what you like, even if it is just the Sunday funnies (Peanuts is my favorite!).
And by the way, mudqueen, "Undiscovered Country" is in the vcr playing right this minute!
annie
Anniegran, i am tempted to go see the new Star Trek movie again. It was wonderful!
Hi anniegran and mudqueen. Haven't gotten to see the new Trek movie yet but am going to ASAP. Not working really sucks! I have most of the Trek paperbacks and many hardbacks so I can go into the universe anytime I want to and I don't care who knows it! hee hee
Live long and prosper everyone!
