Stupid things part 2, non-tech

Today we fly, tomorrow we sail...so my timing was perfect. Yesterday I barbecued chicken. To not have to spend an hour watching the grill, I baked the chicken for 45 minutes first. When the chicken was done in the oven, I placed the pieces in a plate and carried them outside to the grill. Unknown to me, on the way to the grill, a bit of the chicken grease spilled to the floor. The next trip out to check on the chicken I found the spilled grease. My left foot stepped into the grease and lost traction with the floor, then shot straight out. My right foot maintained traction. This forced my center of gravity to drop at a rapid rate of speed, slamming my right knee into the floor.....
Many of you know that a few years ago I had a major wreck on a harley that resulted in my right leg being broken, both bones, just below the knee. This has caused ongoing problems with my right knee, not allowing me to ever play basketball again. (ok, I could have before if I wanted too!)The fear factor, as I was falling, was much greater then the pain factor when I actually hit. I was sure my leg was going to break again and I did not have insurance for the cruse! Well, I am in pain and severely slowed down, but I am going to Miami! My knee is wrapped, my handy cane is out of the closet, and the pain killers are kicking in. Oh, what was the stupid part? If I had carried the chicken in a bowl, as I usually do; instead of a plate...the grease would never have spilled.
