Category 7/3-7/6 Fourth of July

Say hey everyone! I don't know how the time came and went so quickly but suddenly I realized that it was not June any more. Not only that but the last photo category expired 2 days ago! Forgive me for this lapse in attention. This next category is about the Fourth of July celebration. It will be up for just a few days or for as long as the holiday lasts. Please post your own photographs on what makes the Fourth of July a special holiday for you. Is it the fireworks, the free concerts and wild hippie dancing, the cook outs or the gathering of family and friends? Post your impressions and we can all share the fun of the holiday with each other.

BTW, if you are keen on photographing fireworks, here is a link you might like to check out: view link
Let the fun begin...

Every 4th of July, the little town of El Cerrito, located in the east bay portion of the San Francisco Bay Area, hosts an international music festival celebrating the diversity of the United States. The site of the festival is a large open field across the street from the town's middle school. Colorful banners and flags decorate the field for the event.

I stand behind the Lady.

Fireworks, of course! It's been so rainy and cloudy that they were smoky, but still spectacular!

I love everything about the 4th July, the coming together of our nation on this special holiday to be proud of our great country, picnics and fireworks. The pictures below is from a store window in our small town.
