Someone crippled or born with a defect doesn't prevent them from pushing their way away from the dinner table.
It's not rude to comment on someone that is crippled. My husband had his right leg amputated above the knee. He found children were wonderful about accepting his disability and would always ask him what happened to his leg. Which he found much more natural and normal than the adults that would look everywhere but at his wooden leg.
My fondest wish in life would be for you two to be judged over your own personal issues the way you are ready to judge others - with total ignorance.

Yes, JerryMerry there are many obese people, I just don't understand why you have narrowed it down to American women. There are also many people that leave their house everyday looking like they have slept in their clothes and haven't seen a shower in a week. These are not all women, many are men so why is it you seem to think that only women should care about how they look? Personally, I try to go out looking my best as does my husband, this is because of how we feel not because we care what other people want us to look like. I am a few pounds over weight, my husband has never had any extra weight on his body.
There are reasons other than over eating for extra weight. Some medications cause significant weight gain and some medical conditions result in the same. The world would be a much better place if people didn't judge based on ASSumptions.
Thank you Whims:
May I quote you " I am proud to belong to a group of good people like this".
Good people like this are not totally ignorant. I made a factual comment on obesity and you have gone over the top. There is nothing nice about being obese and no amount of posturing will change that. Stop deceiving yourself. I am not judging anyone/ If the American woman chooses to be a fat slob that's her prerogative. I was merely meamt that it pisses me off to see women so unfeminine.
Obviously Jerry that was before you joined the group lol.

Well when you have 2, 3 or more kids the body doesn’t return to normal appearance. It’s not a case of not caring, it a case of not having time once the patter of little feet are heard around the house. Most women do not like being fat and it’s a daily struggle for most to keep the pounds off and others get frustrated when trying to take weight off and give up. Diet does play a part when one is obese but it’s not the only factor that causes weight gain.
I’ve had the opportunity to travel worldwide and fat is fat in Europe as well as America and other countries. It’s not as prevalent as in America but they are quickly catching up. Look at the old Soviet Union, anyone over 30 is over weight and ugly. The difference is they were ugly before being over weight.
American women in general take better care of themselves then in other countries. They are more concerned with their personal appearance, clothing, makeup, etc., .than the female railroad workers of the Soviet Union or the rice patch female workers of Asia or any other country.
In looking at your profile picture you could stand to drop several ugly pounds yourself. So why not get pissed off at yourself; before attacking the American women about their obesity?
Until today I never realized fat women were in denial.
You have no clue if anyone on this list is obese - you're once again ASSuming.
