I hope All Yall have a Happy & Safe Holiday! I will be working, which would not be a big deal except that my shift ends AFTER Dinner Time for Foxy & Kinky. UhOh.... It will be that sad & oft told tale of "The Cats Who Very, Nearly, ALMOST STARVED TO DEATH"...

Yes, meowmom, the real unadulterated truth is that CATS CAN LIVE FOR UP TO 22 DAYS WITHOUT FOOD OR WATER! At least, ONE cat did... I read about it several years ago. A family moved across country & could not find their cat right before departure time. They were frantic, but had to leave. I don't know WHY it took them soooo long to discover the poor feline, but find him they did ~~ in between the mattress & box springs of the guest bedroom bed. 22 days later. Dehydrated & hungry, but ALIVE. KinkyNFoxy ASSURE me this is an "Urban Legend" & NOT to be believed, but... every ONCE in awhile, I wonder... Hmmmm... Just how long COULD Kinky go withOUT food? ... Hahahahaaa! *evil laugh*!

You are right, SBQ about how long that they can survive without food or water. I think I read that story, too and a couple more that were similar. I heard of one cat that shipped all the way cross country. We went home once with the neighbor's cat in our trunk and had to drive a 100 miles back with him. I lost one of my own cats for a week. He came back looking skinny and hungry. He had disappeared on trash day and reappeared on trash day, so I think he was stuck in someone's garage for a week.
