Good Morning Caregivers

Good Morning Pictures, Images and Photos

That lighthouse is for Deb...but the good morning greeting are for all of you. I am off to work today and will pick up take and bake pizza on my way home.

I am trying to figure out how to keep my husband from falling over in his recliner and I think he falls because he is weaker but also because the chair is too big now that he lost a lot of weight. Pillows fall out and rolled up towels don't work... should I just go to Laz-Y-Boy and get a smaller chair??

Could you get a long beach towel and roll those round pillow rolls (shaped like tootsie rolls) from each end. Put this on the back of his recliner and adjust the rolls in and out 'til they "fit" him and hold him erect.

GOOD LUCK

HG --- I haven't tried this but, have you considered webbing straps that close with velcro placed on the chair simular to a childs carseat. They would be adjustable and washable and give him the freedom of being able to get out of it by himself.
I made a traction device out of this material along with the velcro and it worked pretty good. I sewed it on our home sewing machine so it is a workable solution in my mind's eye.

Oh thank you for the beautiful lighthouse! I'm saving that one to my pictures.

I like the velcro idea very much. Happy 4th of July to everyone!
