Good Morning, Squeakers!

Good Morning Pictures, Images and Photos

Today's topic is about getting the most out of life. I am a busy person and I am starting to feel at the beginning of each month, that it is easy to recall the work but not so easy to recall what I did during my leisure time. I know I got to a couple movies every month and an occasion night out with the girls but it is so hot here in the summer, it is easy to get into "staying in" and hanging out.

Do you schedule your leisure time, or do you just take life as it comes?

Do you like to have something to look forward to (whether it’s a coffee with a friend at 11am, or a big weekend away) – or do you prefer to go with the flow?

I have to say I just take life as it comes. I really hate having my "routine" upset, though I really don't have a routine. It's just that our lives are pretty mundane and predictable. For instance, we got a call yesterday that DH's EEG is scheduled for 10 this morning. I want a little more time to get ready for something like this. As far as leisure time, I guess ours is pretty much all the time. We don't go out, we just sit at home most times. Our DIL called yesterday and wanted us to come over to get in the pool but we didn't go. I think she's probably upset with us but we just don't jump and run at a moment's notice. I need time to process stuff, I guess.

We generally 'go with the flow'. I would like to start planning an outing here and there so we have something to look forward to.
Things have gotten pretty mundane here too.
The costs of everything has gone so high, and since neither of us are working now - we have to be so careful.

I, too, generally go with the flow, but try to take advantage of some freed time to spend overnite with my girlfriend who lives about 45 minutes away. I think it might be this weekend, I am trying to get my son to go to his dad's and take his daughter with him possibly letting her stay over nite. He lives with me and we have her every weekend. I take care of her on Sundays when my son goes to work. Best laid plans of mice and men!!! We'll see!

I love lighthouses to...I am glad that lynked said she likes a little more notice to go for an EEG. I can be more spontaneous for fun things but my husband's nurse showed up Tuesday and I was at work. It took three calls to straighten out the prescriptions we needed and a follow-up on his changes. I like it when I know what is going to happen as far as he is concerned.

I am a planner and since I'm still working and have my pet-sitting business everything revolves around that. I have a few free days in August so I'm thinking about going to Vegas for a few days. I got a promotional offer for 2 free days at a hotel I stayed at last year so that's good. Lot's of the hotels have really slashed their rates, even below what they usually are for summer. I like playing Bingo and it's less expensive than other gambling and I got a $25 food coupon. Vegas must really be feeling the bad economy.

My wife is the planner... I pretty much go with the flow. She likes to have an agenda of activites, I like to do spur of the moment stuff. As for vacations, trips, etc., that is a problem, I guess.
