Well thanks so much. You know I never win drawings, this is a first since I was a child - I am the proverbial one number short or one number long.

From Thread #3

"Special to the Dallas Times Herald: The Elephant Express is in town for what may be the last time. That’s right, the City Council has decided, on a 5-4 vote to let Benton Circus perform one more time. It was seven years ago when James Benton, owner of Benton Circus, stood before the Council and said he would never forgive the city inspectors when they claimed his favorite elephant, Ellie McPherson, was a dangerous animal and wanted her destroyed. Rather then dispose of the animal, Benton chose to drop the city from his route.

Benton has agreed to this special performance because of petitions signed by the parents of many children who have never seen a traveling circus. Ellie is no longer with the circus, having died of old age, but Benton has made sure there will be plenty of elephants. The pachyderms are workers as well as an attraction. Citizens can drop by and see these huge creatures as they help to put up the merry colors of the big top. However, less effort is required by the animals than in the past because of the power equipment now used by the roustabouts."
