Archeology Today Magazine...........

7/1/09.....this is to my knowledge the premier magazine and resource for those whom take archeology serious; and more so for those wishing to be involved in real digs. What better way for hands on experience then to register for a real university research quest and help dig up and recognize otherwise lost or unknown history, be it human related or paleolithic? Like college classes everywhere, it costs a little to register and take part. But what greater thrill would it be to be part of the expedition that discovered Copan or King Tut, or the first Icthyasaurus skeleton, or the sunken sidewheeler the S.S. Central America that went down off Roanoke Island with millions of dollars of freshly minted Double Eagles in 1858?

...........I know we are a rock and mineral collecting group here, but there are treasures of all kinds to be discovered. So why should we limit ourselves? Explore and discover............

I used to subscribe to an Archeology magazine, I forget the name of it, but it was very interesting. The one cover I really remember was a skull that was made from turquoise I believe and I think gold, it was handsome and at the same time frightening.
