Colorado in one of the top 3 lowest obesity rates. Mississippi in one of the highest obesity rates. In Colorado you have to climb a mountain whereever you go. In Mississippi you get bogged down whereever you go.
Nope, sorry. All the theories about the number of fast food restaurants and Southern vs Northern cooking are wrong. It is simply, poverty vs affluence. Rice and beans and cheap, fatty cuts of pork are cheap. Free range chicken, bean sprouts and fruit are expensive. Poverty causes obesity.

Kpasa's right, sadly especially in the south. Those who live in the north can't really understand the history and depth of poverty people face. Walking? in some cases they dare not for fear.Besides, just existing destroys motivation, perhaps we should just let them eat cake.
