We saw hundreds of them in Europe where a big car is a Ford Fiesta! Park straight in and keep up with the traffic....But there are few cars we saw that would not be a total wreck if hit. This is a two seated scooter with rain skin applied.

Yeah Dell, when gas averages $8/gallon, as it does in many parts of Europe, these cars suddenly look very attractive to people. I like that they do less damage to the planet.

I have never been in one..do they handle well? I would think the manueverability could be a safety feature (I trust my ability to dodge more than someone's focus being on the road to see me)

Look at it this way, while so many drivers are talking on their cell phone or texting they will be at the helm of a smaller projectile and so it will be harder for them to hit you.

It probably would not be much different for me to drive one. I have always liked small efficient cars. I have had Opel Kadettes, a Nissan Sentra, and for quite a few years now a Hybrid Honda Civic. I see more and more of the Smart cars and other smaller vehicles so at least a few people have not drifted back into a comfortable stupor with the current low prices of fuel.

I agree Rubicon. I drive a Scion tC and love it. It is very easy to maneuver and I drive defensively because I know other people don't.

I have been driving a compact car for years, but upgraded several years ago to a Forester. This is the 2nd largest car I have owned. My largest was a 1967 Camaro.

Oh wow...I remember that Camaro...back in the day when gas prices and pollution were not even a blip on our radar...those were very cool!

Back in the olden days there was a science fiction-like movie in which a "detective" when around in a polluted world tracking down internal combustion engines. I may be remembering badly but in the end I think he tracked down his offending machine, a Ford of somekind, maybe a Mach I. However, he is seduced by its evil power and is seen in the driver's seat roaring off into the smog filled city.

Men will probably give up watching action movies when all the cars are quiet and electric. It will not be the same without the Vroom, Vroom! We could still have explosions and clouds of dust though. That's something at least.

Drive safely, the highway kills about 45,000 Americans a year. Have a pleasant night.
