Dale Jr GoDaddy.com Blog past weekend
Alright, so if you’re a big race fan, you probably know of David Poole, the longtime writer for the Charlotte Observer and host of “The Morning Drive” on Sirius XM Radio. Poole died about two months ago. It was big news when he passed away, because Poole was the dean of motorsports journalists, and he was extremely influential in the garage. I don’t remember how long he had being covering NASCAR, but it certainly started well before I came into the sport. Anyway, I say all that for this: We got together with some people in the industry – as well as David’s wife – to establish a college fund account for Poole’s two-year-old grandson, Eli. It wasn’t until after Poole’s passing that I came to understand how close they were to each other. This college fund was an easy idea, and hopefully we can generate a lot of money to help Eli down the road. I wanted to put the info out there in case people felt inspired to make a small contribution.
Here it is:

Alright, so that’s that. I’m heading to Loudon, N.H. for this weekend’s race, but first I’m making a stop in Boston to see my buddies at iRacing. If you haven’t checked out iRacing.com, you’re missing out on fortune and riches and eternal youth… ya know, the same benefits you get when checking out GoDaddy.com. Thanks for stopping by, and have a great weekend.
