I Love to cook too!

Hello, I have been reading all of your post. For the diabetics out there looking for recipes, I found the best recipes just by going on line. My father was a diabetic. I bought my mom lots of cookbooks, but as with most cook books, there are a lot of recipes just just don't sound appetizing. Online, I can type in "recipes for diabetics" and then browse. if I like something with pork, then type it in or what ever you are hungry for.
For the empty nesters, Eating Out is fun, people have a tendency to over eat, causing weight gain and your cholesterol to peak. I love trying new things. My kids were picky eaters. Now I cook with lots of garlic, onions, ginger, even tofu. I am having a blast and when they come by and say, "wow, that smells good" , I invite them to stay, who knew, they would like all of those things. LOL
Cook smaller portions. If you have lost that zing for cooking, then have fun dining out, just watch for some of the healthier choices on the menu. I love Ethiopian, Thai, Middle Eastern, Teppan, Greek, and Turkish cuisines, try it, you may like it. Invite some adventurous friends over, preparing them is a blast!

Happy Holidays,
