Lola's Story

Hi everyone. I haven't been here since losing my Lucy last year to cancer. I didn't think I was ready for a new dog, but we got an email from a group saying 140 dogs and cats were rescued from a hoarder. And one pitbull looked just like Lucy. I had to meet her, and she was such a sweetie. She's about 5 and has probably lived most of her life in a pen. She's never seen a toy, comfy furniture or grass! In just 3 weeks it is so much fun watching her learn how to be a dog! Lola and I rescued each other!

I'm so glad you and Lola found each other. I have a rescue dog and even at 11, he's still finding new ways to play and act like a dog. His new thing is grabbing a stuffed toy and shaking it or bringing it over to me just for me to take it out his mouth and give it back to him.

I hope you and your friend have many happy years together.

How wonderful for Lola that you found eachother. I know the loss of our animal friends is so hard. I just lost another cat. Can't seem to get used to it around here without her. Its wonderfull if this new sweetie can ease your pain.

I love it when people adopt animals instead of buying puppies that more than likely was born in a puppymill. May you and Lola have many wonderful years together.
