Great for you and Lola! You never know when you're ready for a new dog. We had to put our sweet boy "Mack" down right after Thanksgiving last year...he was 16 1/2. I said no more dogs, but then went to a rescue and Miley stole my heart. She is a puppy mill rescue. She's a fantastic little girl. She's got some health issues but that's ok.
You are a sweet person for taking in a doggie that needed your love so much! Big hugs to you both.

I foster cats and I drive transport for dogs. Yesterday, I transported three boxers and a mutt. One of the boxers looked like a skeleton. There are so many abused animals out there and they are depending on angels like you.
Lola's so lucky to have such a great mommy.

You should celebrate her "birth"day as the day you got her, because before that, she really wasn't living!
