Global warming is just a way for the government to impose its views. Never mind a post. Besides idiocy this is history. Why are people so stupid?

Perhaps because they would like to believe someone else’s Opinion, and their Opinion only is the only opinion!!! NOT SCIENCE…

Doesn't it stand to reason if more and more scientists begin to advance opinions that global warming in not the threat we've been told it was for the last 30 years the threat itself may just be no more than an opinion. An opinion that looses credible supporters almost monthly.
Is it not reasonable to step back and take a breath in a down economy and our government on a spending spree that was wrapped in a bill and passed in a hurry, under pressure, and only 8% has been spent with little effect on job creation. Now may not be the best time to ad an additional burden on business and citizens with another bill that has very few specifics and little research or debate about the possible negative outcomes.
In short, with the defection of so many scientists and the discovery of so much more information, global warming may have been reduced to nothing more than an unsubstantiated opinion as well. What logic is there in committing to an entire restructuring on our energy system at a time like this.

Opinions are like...well, we all know what they're like. Thus it's important that you know whose opinion you're taking. As a local advertisement says, "If you don't know diamonds, you'd better know your jeweler."

I'll go with Andiamo's approach.

I say act as though it is true. Do what is necessary to combat global warming. It can't hurt and it could only help, just in case there is truth to it. Scientists can say anything and offer "proof" of it. You can't depend on a consensus from them. Use your own judgment. Look around you. There is proof that the polar caps are melting. Eventually that will mean something to everybody. It will affect the way we live. Keep your head up your wazoo if you want to, but be prepared should the truth prove global warming is real.

On the contrary, taking the "global warming" crisis route will hurt substantially by greatly increasing the cost of energy which effect virtually every aspect of the world economy and consequently will lower the standard of living for the vast bulk of the population. Furthermore, the bulk of global warming "experts" are not climatologists, derive financial benefit from government research grants and/or have ideological biases in favor of increased government control over the economy.
