6/27/09.....here is a tour you will never forget. The 16 to 1 Gold Mine in California, is a real underground gold mine running since 1896, and gives a great tour at a reasonable price. My late wife and I went there in 2004, and it was really fun. Mostly cause it is safe, and real miners take you on the tour. Down shafts, through tunnels, past audits and ore chutes, it is a real live mine and museum. You can see the real work done in the past, and where they have been working recently. And when you get back on top, you can go through the rest of the museum and their store buying souvenirs, and even real gold spiecemens and jewelry, and if you believe in the power of gold, you can even invest in their stocks. I have been watching the 16 to 1 since 1995, and can attest that their process and products are the real deal, and their stock values have only increased in all these years. This is an opportunity to see real living history at work......
