Not me! I refuse to live in fear. I believe you create your reality. I will never let fear control any aspect of my life.

Just seems there are some who let their posts have an underlying premise of fear trying to instill an underlying gargoilish sense of fear in their posts.

Your are so right about those who try to instill fear in people and one can choose to accept their paranoia or keep their center, their sense of balance and go on making the possible a reality.

There are always Chicken Littles, the negative see-impending-disaster-and-doom in every situation. We have just come out from under an administration that spread fear and manipulated congress and the populace into many self-destructive, constitution and privacy abrogating laws that we may never be able to reverse.

I am with Duchess, we create our own reality as individuals and a nation. When we give way to fear, the best we can do is react, instead of act, or give up and hide.

We need to come up for air, turn off the fear mongers, appraiser our situation and take the steps needed to restore health in our economy, our relations with the rest of the world, friend and enemy -- and build for the future instead of fearing today and what tomorrow will bring.

Let's turn our fear to foreign relationships. How does it relate to North Korea, South Korea, China, Russia, Poland, Hungary, Germany, Italy and other non English speaking peoples?

Most are loathe admitting it but gods were born of fear and promise. There is the promise of some sort of perpetual happiness for adhering to impossible rules followed by the fear of what will happen if the gods are not appeased. It is easy for me to picture an animal skin clad family speaking in grunts while bowing down to a volcano about to erupt again, having sacrificed their youngest child, hoping the person in the volcano will be merciful because the family is guessing the volcano wanted them to make the sacrifice since the leader of the tribe grunted and motioned that they should.

Just as easily can I see a family dressed in the latest fashions from Belks or Kmart. They are kneeling in a building praying for someone’s forgiveness while they ponder how the child they raised, then threw out of their house, could be a homosexual and hoping the person in the sky understands and will help them all out.

Neither family understands there is no need to sacrifice. Move out of the valley, accept your children as the become adults, and happiness follows.

We do make our own happiness and fear is simply another emotion inherent to human nature. Like all emotions how we deal with it is generally a learned thing.

The only fear I have is of Eons....One of the most hateful places I have ever been.....not this group but others......and I have been a few places and met a lot of really nice people along the way.....when it is my time, it is my time

I hear you, my friend. It has been my experience that too many folks on EONS are either too eager to have sexual relationships for self gratification - like it's possible to die from lack of sex - or too quick to pass angry judgment on the strangers they interact with.
