I've been away from this group due to packing and preparing to move from Atlanta to Phoenix. I finally got here last Saturday. Now I've got to unpack a kazillion boxes. It's really hot here but I'm glad to be getting a new start in life. It was important for me not to spend the 12th anniversary of my husband's unsolved murder in Georgia (June 25th). I left the 3500 sq. ft. house I bought 11 years ago and most of my furniture, appliances, and "stuff" to move into a 2 bedroom/2 bath apartment. Quite an adjustment, but I'm hoping that Phoenix will be a much better and happier place for me.

I'm sorry for the loss of your husband.
Obviously it's still pretty much front and center in your life.
Believe me, when the crime is solved, the peace does not come as we may want.

Atlanta to Phoenix is a lo-o-o-o-o-o-ong way.

Why Phoenix?

Hello Sistas! Linda, I did the samething, I originally was going to the East coast but my eldest grandaughter ask her mother and I to come to Baton Rouge and stay with her three little ones while she is being deployed to Iraq. Lawd knows it scorching hot here but I'm loving these babies and praying for and with their Momma. From Detroit to Baton Rouge!

I pray you will be happy in your new home, and finally have peace of mind.
BTW they finally caught my husband killer but he was killed trying to escape the police. Tragic but I'm have closure now.
