Bone-In Ham

I seem to be having trouble figuring out the posting mechanics here. It seems comments on photos don't automatically generate a thread, and I don't know how to embed a photo into this message box. So, not to repeat myself:

Here is the link to the photo and the thread subject I tried, but failed to start:

OK, all you have to do Zeke is click on "Advanced Sharing Options". When it opens the first option you will see is "Embedded". Click on the HTML tag in under "Embedded" and paste anywhere on Eons that you want to post your photo. And that's all there is to it! ;-)

Nice specimen btw. You might find this group helpful: view link

Thanks Eric...Here's the comment then

BONE-IN HAM

Three kinds of crystallization are evident here. First, the hard white stuff surrounding the second white "bone" and third, imprints on the first stuff of another crystal growth that has weathered out, sprear-like. The matrix or ground mass is a soft stone...serpentinite? or soapstone? or what? the backside has a small vug with undamaged points of crystals in it. I want comments on this more than anything. This is just one of many pictures of this stone, the entire album can be viewed on Photobucket by following the link below

(slide-show, but go to main view to zoom in on indivual shots to get a closer look at the crystal imprints)....any ideas out there?
On close inspection there is a fragment of one of the spear-like crystals still embedded in the white crystals...at the bottom. It appears to be green. I'll have to pop it out and do a SG test on it sometime.
