The Canadian Geese have us on a leash.
South Jersey has been built up so much that the geese just hang wherever they want anymore: restaurants, parks, malls, schools, etc.
So lately, there's been several "families", with the babies still in their soft fluff. They are finally beginning to show signs of real feathers.
The whole point is, when they decide it's time to cross the street, traffic stops dead. 10:30 AM or rush hour, it doesn't matter. I have to laugh sometimes, because these people actualy look like they're being held hostage by other humans. But the geese move along pretty quick. I don't know - maybe you have to be there to see them in action, but it's pretty funny from my point of view.
