My daughter grew up singing and dancing to Michael Jackson and Donnie Osmond music. I personally love MJs music and am so sorry to see him die. I will never, never in my heart believe he was a pedophile. His father was brutal to him when he was growing up; physically and emotionally abused this little fellow since he was the weaker one of the boys. The self destruction with drugs is nothing new with celebrities. With all the broken bones, many get hooked on painkillers as do non-celebrities.
I grieve for Michael Jackson's children as they were well cared for and loved their father and yes he was their father and they had a good life with him. RIP Michael, you are at peace now.
Michael Jackson was a young child with a great talent who grew into a man with a great talent, an innovator in the industry, known and loved for his music around the world. But he was a tortured soul, abused as a child, and severely crippled emotionally from his upbringing. A very dear friend of mine knew the family quite well, was a frequent visitor in their home and became confidante to several of the children, Michael one of them. She was always one to see the good in everyone, his parents were the only people I ever heard her say a negative word about: she called them 'monsters.' She said they physically abused (beat their children) and financially exploited them, stole their earnings. The father she described as a 'cruel beast.'
Michael's tragic end should be no surprise for we are a nation of pill addicts, prone to take a pill for every discomfort, physical or mental. Recent reports say one of five Americans takes pills to induce sleep. People with money are able to buy an enabler, a physician who will cater to their wishes, provide whatever pharmaceuticals they want, in whatever quantity, their Hipocratic oath be damned. Money and the proximity to a famous client is their first priority, and some will prostitute their profession to keep both. Anna Nicol Smith, Elvis, and many others had access to as many pills as they wanted, to their self destruction -- aided and abetted by unscrupulous doctors who betrayed their profession and their patient -- for money and reflected fame.
It has come out that a very powerful anaesthetic was found in his home, something he had asked a nurse for a few days before. It is not a sleep sedative, but a powerful anaesthetic that puts the patient in a coma, stopping all brain functions and a drug that can cause cardiac arrest. It has to be injected.
And the patient monitored until out of the coma.
In attendance a relatively new doctor, in financial trouble in Nevada where he lived, behind in the mortgage on his $1.5 million dollar home, lawsuits filed against him -- and he somehow lands a spot as Jackson's personal physician. The toxicology report will tell the tale -- whether Michael was injected with the anaesthetic and this caused his untimely death.
Rest in peace, Michael. You gave a lot to the world. You are in a better place now. The pain is gone.
Well GG with that information we can only hope that his mother does not get final custody of his children. It is going to be devastating enough to have lost their adoring father but then to be put in a home where they will be mistreated would be a tragedy on top of a tragedy.
I wonder if the deal that MJ struck with God included being able to sexually abuse little boys and get away with it ? It could be , because God evidently offered a similar deal to Catholic priests .

Dirck I understand where you're coming from on this and I have no problem with the Catholic priests thing because they were proven guilty. But, Jackson never was, and I would like to think that the parents of those children who brought suit would not have been able to be bought if their sons had truly been abused by Jackson. I know there is not enough money in the world to get me to settle in a case if it had been my son. I would want to see him skinned alive for it. He may have settled not just to protect himself but also to protect the children from testimony and himself from a nasty trial where every part of his life would have been investigated and reviewed then released to the public. I'm not so sure he did molest children. He was weird beyond weird, for sure, but he was never proven to be a molester of children. And in America we are still considered innocent until proven guilty!
We may be considered innocent until proven guilty, but a not guilty verdict is not proof of innocence.. Simpson and Blake come to mind.
The other side of "not enough money in the world to get me to settle in a case if it had been my son" is how much money would you pay to not go to trial if you were accused of such a heinous crime?
Michael Jackson died for me a very long time ago. I feel for the child, but not for the man.
"I'm not so sure he did molest children." Is it his charm? His talent? His charisma? His pretend child voice? How do you think people get away with crimes against children? Because they act like Freddy Krueger? Not hardly.
It is a heinous crime and I, while he was alive, thought he probably did do it. The man/child is now dead and to put that onus on him in death without it having been proven serves no purpose. That is my point. He is being judged now and there is no amount of money that he can pay to get out of this judgment!!
We'll see. When the confidentiality agreements are made public, if they don't contain a clause disallowing disclosure following death and evidence shows him to be guilt free, I'll be the first to acknowledge it.
Until then I'll tell you who is being judged, the people of Los Angeles. Thousands of people will not be able to go to work on Tuesday, many businesses will not be able to open and today, on Independence Day, we were told by the acting mayor that we will be paying the bill for this circus.
Recently we had a parade for the Lakers. They agreed to foot half the bill. The Lakers bring a lot of money into the city not to mention pride. Not a problem. All this amounts to on Tuesday is a bad case of celebrity hypnosis, poor use of police and fire protection and an outrageous bill for a city in dire financial trouble.
